Our walking beams, typically operated by cylinder or motor, are a lift and shift mechanism that transports material along a defined table length. Typically, this is done to allow cooling of a billet or different product after it comes out of the furnace.
These beams consist of two parts. The first is stationary while the second part of the table lifts product from the stationary section and moves it a set distance before setting it back down. After a predetermined timeframe, the product is lifted again and moved another preset distance.
