Machinist
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate Mazak CNC mills and lathes.
- Set up machines, including loading materials, tooling, and fixtures
- Run production parts and monitor machine performance
- Perform milling, drilling, and turning operations
- Operate Bridgeport mill / drill press, vertical turning center, and lathes
- Use overhead cranes and jib cranes to move materials safely
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and shop drawings
- Maintain quality standards and perform inspections
- Make minor machine adjustments to maintain tolerance
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years machining experience preferred
- Experience in operating CNC machines (Mazak preferred)
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Experience with milling, drilling, and turning
- Ability to operate overhead and jib cranes safely
- Must have own basic machinist tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
