WINKLE CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY

Alliance, OH - Joe Schatz, President and CEO of Winkle Industries is pleased to announce that arrangements are underway to mark their second anniversary in their new location in Alliance, Ohio. Winkle Industries moved into their new manufacturing facilities in the early summer of 2004 as they had outgrown their previous facility in Canfield, Ohio.

“The demand of our products and the technology that we have developed over the years, had outgrown our ability to supply it,” said Joe Schatz. “As a company driven by our customers’ needs combined with engineering capability, it seems that the industries we serve liked our approach to their business demands. As well, we are committed to keeping each of the employees informed as to what is going on in the other divisions of the company and how they can each continue to contribute to the amazing growth we have experienced in the last 5 years.”

The company embarked on a program to expand its product line offering which today includes the manufacturing and repair of electrical control panels, overhead crane components, ‘below-the-hook’ mechanical lifting devices and lifting magnets.

Furthermore, part of the diversification program involved adding machining capabilities with the addition of CNC machining centers. This combined capacity has allowed Winkle Industries to meet its customers’ needs. “Our facility is fabulous, but it is our employees’ commitment to their craft and precision that makes our growth possible,” said Joe.

Once the realization was made that they had outgrown their previous 30,000 square foot facility in Canfield, the search was on for a new location. The location turned out to be Joe’s hometown of Alliance. “I knew that if it could be possible, that I wanted to put something back into this community. Therefore, with the development of the industrial park we were able to proceed with our 75,000 square foot manufacturing and administrative building.”

“Our new facility clearly demonstrates our commitment to customer service and meeting their needs today and tomorrow,” continued Joe. “Growing up here, I also knew that this area had a great workforce. It has allowed us to almost double the number of people working here since we moved in.”
